I'm thinking of what really is important in life, and what makes life really worth living and what counts in the end?
I have no fear of death, and do not think my life is bad or so.
But I'm thinking, and often speculate about what you really will think was important in life, and especially when approaching and going away in to old age.
You as mental life coach may know and can help me with the answer to my question here, I hope.
Happy greeting
Alexander
Hi Alexander
Yes, it's a very good question and interesting thoughts that you have now sent in to me here.
I have interviewed a number of people who were over 90 years. And as they answered the question of what life is, and what has been most instructive, and what life itself is about. Etc.
Here you can read the list here that I have compiled. With the most common answers I received from those 90 years of people I've interviewed:
- You do not have to win every argument.
- Remain always completely honest with yourself.
- Cry with someone, it's more healing than crying alone.
- As for chocolate, so it is useless to try to resist.
- Make peace with your past so it will not destroy your future.
- It's okay that your children see you cry.
- Do not compare your life with others. You have no idea what their journey of life contains.
- If a relationship has to be a secret, you should not be a part of it.
- Take a deep breath, it gets your mind to relax.
- Get rid of anything that you do not need. Unnecessary material possessions weighing on you in many ways.
- Anything that does not kill you will make you stronger.
- It is never too late to be happy. But it's only up to you and no one else.
- When it comes to chasing what you love in life, then never accept no for an answer.
- Every day is special, so make the most of every day of your life.
- Prepare yourself and then follow with the flow.
- The most important sex organ is the brain.
- No one but you can control your happiness.
- Set music to each so-called drama in your life with these words, "Does this really matter in the future and in a few years?".
- Always choose life.
- Forgive everything but never forget anything.
- What others think about you, you have nothing to do with, so you not need to worry about it.
- Time heals almost all wounds. Let time go and do their job.
- How good or bad a situation is, it will always change.
- Do not take yourself too seriously. No one else does.
- Do not judge your life. Simply make the best of it right now.
- Getting old beats the alternative - dying young.
- All children have only one childhood.
- The only thing that really matters in the end is that you loved.
- Make sure to be outdoors every day. Miracle waiting everywhere.
- If we threw away all our problems and took over all the problems of others, we would quickly take back our own problems.
- Envy is a waste of time. Accept what you already have, not what you think you desire.
- The best thing in life has not happened to you yet.
- Regardless of how you feel. Dress up and dive up and rake in.
- Life has no bow around it, but it's still a gift.
I hope the list will help you provide an answer to what is most important in life, and where it really counts when it comes to end of life.
