Hello Mr. Healy coach
I have in my entire life had extreme trouble motivating myself to actually grab things. It often instead I only postpones problems or tasks to the last moment. But when it comes to small things such as work, school and cleaning (for example), this is not a huge problem.
But I have this problem all my life, I consider myself to be able to study at a high level and succeed in the job, which has been repeatedly pointed out by previous employers. But I really must NEVER thumb out. It has led to that I wasted several years of non-rewarding study and to sit on your ass. I have the ambition to go far in the world of work and had no problems could imagine working my ass off the rest of my work completed age. But right now I spend my days just by sitting at your computer and do absolutely nothing.
Often it is so that I am extremely bored even when I'm sitting at the computer even though I have most fun projects (or play) to tackle, but I can NEVER get started. The same applies to read books that I really looked forward to, or even to see a movie. I will direct bored and want to do other things (which I do).
I have for several years had problems with my stomach and it has definitely affected my life very much, but I still have not received the thumb out to wedge down to the health center to get it checked out on.
Once I got started with something as I drive on that alone - until I encounter a problem. That may be a problem, I can solve without much effort - but I do not care often in it. This is extremely annoying and I really can not stop doing it.
Is there anyone who has previously had the same problem and done something about it?
I really need help with this, for it prevents fucking my whole career from taking off.
With friendly
Emma
Hello Emma
Everyone needs something to strive for, it is the driving force behind motivation.
Therefore, the aim and motivation is often linked. If you do not know why you work so hard you know that not what you want to achieve, and you do not know what you want to achieve, it is likely that you will not achieve anything at all. No feel good to fail, and it has no target one knows not when successful.
Motivation is physiologically a chemical process of the body's reward system. When it seems that the activity provides something we get more motivation. Basically it is a desire for improvement or change.
One can distinguish between internal and external motivation. Inner motivation is usually the strongest, and comes from one's own will achieve nothing.
External motivation created by external conditions, such as earning a sum of money or higher social status if you get promoted or famous.
To increase motivation, you can use the direct motivation methods, such as reward / punishment or the motivation for why you are doing as you do. One can also indirectly alter motivation by changing work environment, work methods or work vary from day to day. You can also work with objectives source of motivation. To possess knowledge of what you are doing can also act motivating. The more you know about something, the more fun it is to continue to learn and understand more.
Concentration - to think of the right thing at the right time
Concentration and relaxation are the basis for success in mental strength. Concentration is the ability to shut itself off from the outside world and just focus on one thing, here and now. Are you interested in what you do and allow it to devour you, the concentration is often the bargain. Are you good at concentrating, you are good at living in the moment, and it is part of both personal and business success. A good example is how concentrated you are when you are listening to a customer - you really listen to what he says, or is your mind in the future about what he might say or where you want the conversation to end? Already expectations and prejudices against how the conversation will go missing, you might what the customer really wants and mean.
Concentration is also the foundation of mental training. To be able to focus on what's going on inside you must release all other thoughts. This is the basis for personal development.
Personal development is simple
Personal development sounds like something big, nice and new, but is actually very simple. In order to develop as a person, you must first know yourself. Do not you know your thoughts you do not know yourself, then this is the first thing you need to be aware of. You do not coach or psychologist to do. You just need to sit down in silence and listen. Go through a simple process where you first just observing:
Feel it in your body - Do you have any tension anywhere? Release them.
Feel how you breathe - fast or slow? Deep or shallow? Long or short? Try to breathe a little deeper, a little longer breath, it helps the body to find a quiet. If you are not calm when you think, you can not trust that the thoughts are well thought out.
Let the thoughts come - just listen. What are the kind of thoughts? Are they from the past or do they belong to the future? They focus on you or others? What emotions arouses thoughts and why?
Let the thoughts come and go for a while. Decide then to let go of all thoughts. Just focus on yourself; the feeling of your body, how you feel inside, how you feel. Focus on your breathing. Follow the inhalation and exhalation without letting any second thoughts. Let this take at least 10 minutes.
Now you are one step closer to yourself.
If you do not manage this yourself, you can consult a life coach like me here, for example.
